- The preliminary inquiry into the Clapham rail crash has been adjourned for a month. Mark Mildred, the lawyer working for the injured and dead, says the public have a right to know how the disaster happened. Shadow Transport Secretary John Prescott blames overcrowding for the high death toll. Greg Ford, a member of the public who was on the train, says he will always remember the crash.
