Defence Secretary Tom King speaks to reporter Simon Israel, applauding US President George Bush on his plans to reduce nuclear arms. Bush recently met Russian President Boris Yeltsin to discuss the reduction of arms, with Yeltsin supporting calls for nuclear and conventional arms reduction. King wants to see the reduction of Russia’s nuclear arsenal but does not want to see Britain lose her nuclear deterrent. King also discusses who will pay for the disarmament of Russia, and the future role of Russian scientists.
