- Report on the arson threats that have forced W. H. Smith to withdraw The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie from its stores in Bradford. A copy was ceremonially burned by angry Muslims, forcing product manager Mark White to pull the books from the shelves before the store was burned down.
