- Arthur Scargill, leader of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), on the overtime ban and the importing of Polish coal. He says there was a negotiated agreement involving a special representative appointed by the Polish Government and it has been sanctioned by the British Government to import thousands of tons of Polish coal. The Polish Government has arranged for hundreds of small boats to be used in the operation. He says that they will take all necessary action to stop it. Male interviewer not identified.
