Neil Mainland interviews Arthur Scargill on the National Union of Mineworkers’ overtime ban. Scargill wishes to congratulate the membership on its support of union policy, which is to halt pit closures and further manpower reductions whilst securing improved pay and conditions for its members. Scargill goes on to talk about the support they are getting in spite of a media campaign in support of the Coal Board. They are also in negotiation with the National Union of Railwaymen.
