- Len Murray, General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress, responds to the Government’s stand on trade unions at Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). Murray regards as offensive the implication that trade unions and trade unionists endanger the national security. He says there are patently good reasons for opposing the ban, and people need to persuade Government, including Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, to change their minds. Interviewer not heard.
