Description

Officers tackling a fire at the top of the NatWest Tower in the City were aided by a fire helicopter spy-in-the-sky infra-red camera which is on trial. It picks up heat waves coming from fires and transforms them into pictures. This is the first time it has been used in London. Divisional fire officer David Robinson says contingency plans for dealing with high-rise fires worked well.
