Description

Chief North America correspondent Paul Woodley reports on the results of an investigation into illegal arms sales to Iran from the US in exchange for release of hostages from Lebanon with the profits going to Nicaraguan guerillas. The report criticises former President Ronald Reagan and his deputy at the time George H. W. Bush and the witholding of documents. Prosecuter Lawrence Walsh, author of the report, says lower aides were used as scapegoats; Edwin Meese, US Attorney General defends himself against allegations in the report.
