Description

Greater London Council Housing Chairman, Tony McBrearty on an eleventh-hour scheme to re-direct 37.5 million pounds originally intended for the Inner London Education Authority into housing repairs on ex-GLC estates. This means that London boroughs would not have to pick up the bills for works requested by the GLC. Eighteen boroughs would benefit. Female interviewer not identified.
