Description

Prime Minister John Major and US spokesman James Baker show a united front in opposition to Saddam Hussein and Iraq. They issue a warning to Saddam that the deadline of January 15th is a serious one and they will take action if Iraqi troops are not withdrawn from Kuwait before this date. There are worries that the actions of the Soviet Union against Lithuania will show division and weakness within the United Nations. Report by Paul Rowley.
