Frank Bough, Selina Scott and Nick Ross present the first broadcast of BBC breakfast television- Breakfast Time on BBC1, from 06.30 on 17/01/83. Presenter of NBC’s Today show, Jane Pauley and comedian Sir Harry Secombe are in the studio. Debbie Rix reads the news and Francis Wilson the weather. With best wishes from fellow presenters: Michael Munroe(?) and Kerri-Anne Wright (now Kerri-Anne Kennerley), Good Morning Australia; Pamela Wallingford(?) from Canada; Bill Curtis and Diane Sawyer, CBS Morning News; David Hartman and Joan Lunden, Good Morning America; presenters from Hong Kong and Tokyo.
