Description
Ronald Reagan, President of the USA, has a message on New Year’s Day for the people of the Soviet Union. He talks about his meeting with General Secretary Gorbachev in Geneva. Both the USA and Soviet Union are developing technologies for the cause of defence. One of the best ways to build mutual understanding is to allow the American and Soviet people to know each other better. Gorbachev will visit the USA this year and in 1987 Reagan hopes to visit the Soviet Union. He wishes everyone a very happy New Year.
