- Pete Wilkinson, Director of Greenpeace, answers questions on his ship being trapped by sea ice while on its way to Ross Island in the Antarctic. He assures the reporter that his team are not in any danger but says they are still surrounded by icebergs. On the question of the Australian Government saying that the Greenpeace ship is unsafe and unsuitable for ice travel, he says the vessel is perfectly suitable and it was even inspected by Australia’s Science Minister Barry Owen Jones before the journey began.
