- Description
- Paul Woodley reports from the United States on a breakthrough regarding the inspection of North Korea’s nuclear facilites. There is concern that North Korea has been secretly developing nuclear weapons and some CIA analysts believe the country has already built one or two bombs. Negotiations have been going on for international inspectors to check nuclear sites in the area and now American officials say that progress has been made, but some feel that what the North Koreans have actually agreed to may not be worth much at all. Includes statements by US Under-Secretary of State, Lynn Davis; Gary Mulholland, Director of the Wisconsin Project on Nuclear Arms Control.
