The CDs from No. 54 to 74, are Sunday Supplements presented by Amanda Ware, single tracks. Either the tapes have been edited, or the programmes ran without commercial breaks. The transmission time is changed to 18:00-19:00. This is possibly part of re-scheduling following the revision of Ocean Sound on 4th Dec 1988. They are interview and music programmes. CD69- Interview with Gerald Flood, actor. The guest tonight is the star of many excellent productions at the King’s Theatre on the South Sea, Portsmouth, and much more. Born 21 April 1927 - British actor of stage and television. Born at Portsmouth, Hampshire but lived for most of his life at Farnham, Surrey, where he regularly appeared on stage at the Castle Theatre. Flood also appeared in a number of television and film roles over the years. These included the ITC series The Champions and Randall and Hopkirk Deceased, The Ratcatchers, the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who as the robot Kamelion in two serials - The King’s Demons and Planet of Fire as well as a brief scene in the regeneration between Peter Davison’s to Colin Baker’s Doctor. He portrayed Sir Richard Flashman in the BBC’s popular 1971 television serial Tom Brown’s Schooldays and was also in Bachelor Father. He talks about his life and his career. [A few days after this interview, he died from a heart attack, on 12 April 1989]. [Box 11]
