- The CDs from No. 54 to 74, are Sunday Supplements presented by Amanda Ware, single tracks. Either the tapes have been edited, or the programmes ran without commercial breaks. The transmission time is changed to 18:00-19:00. This is possibly part of re-scheduling following the revision of Ocean Sound on 4th Dec 1988. They are interview and music programmes. CD67- Interview with Richard Todd, actor. Born June 11, 1919, he is not only a British actor, but also a soldier and film star. His real name is Richard Andrew Palethorpe-Todd, and he was born in Dublin, Ireland. Todd’s father Andrew was a British army officer who gained three caps for Ireland at rugby before the First World War. Richard Todd is best known for his participation in the film The Dam Busters, which gave him an Oscar nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor for the role in 1949. He wanted to be a playwrighter and started at Drama School where he got interested in acting instead. He talks about his life and his career. [Box 11]
