CD50- Interview with Humphrey Lyttelton, jazz musician. The special guest this evening plays trumpet, clarinet and tenor horn. He is a band leader, author and broadcaster. And once described by Louis Armstrong as the top trumpet man in England. Born 23 May 1921 as Humphrey Richard Adeane Littelton, he talks about his life and his career. In 1972 he was chosen to host the comedy panel game Sorry I Haven’t a Clue on BBC Radio 4. [Box 11]
