CD44- Interview with George Sewell, actor. Amanda Ware talks to this special guest today, a TVS actor who has played diverse roles, including deffending the Earth from the UFOs, and currently, being a chauffeur for Jim Davidson in Home James. Born 31 August 1924, in Tottenham, London, he talks about his life and his career. He started acting at the age of 35, when he met the actor Dudley Sutton by chance in a pub. Dudley recommended that Sewall audition for a production by Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop of Fings Ain’t Wot They Used T’Be. And from then, he never gave up. He is very famous for his role in Gerry Anderson’s live-action science-fiction drama UFO, in 1970, which he played Colonel Alec Freeman in the first series. [Box 11]
