- The Business Programme, broadcast on Monday evenings and presented by Rob Thomas. Track 1-3 Southampton Boat Show and the marine industry: various interviews. Track 1- Southampton Mayflower Park - International Boat Show, organised by the British Marine’s Industry Federation. Rob Thomas talks to the chairman, Peter Gregory, who talks about the strength of the marine industry, he is also the managing director of Victoria Marine. There are various other interviews with people working in the marine industry. Track 2- We now have 254 boats on the water for ten days, a shop window of what is going to happen in 1989. Five hundred exhibitors, with millions of pounds of business. Track 3- Merging companies. Track 4- Mayflower Park - Marine Radio. Track 5- They talk about the main attraction of the Boat Show: a boat called Maria Asumpta, built in Barcelona, Spain in 1858. The Maria Asumpta is celebrating its 130 year of birthday, and it is probably the oldest surviving brig, famous for sailing across the Atlantic. [Box 8]
