Description
The guest this week is George East, who describes himself variously as an author, broadcaster, television reporter, publisher, publican and musician. He has a very catholic taste music, being a confessed Teddy Boy. Born in 1944 in Portsmouth, his turning point was when he saw a film that changed his life. He was very young, he bought all the materials to make his own guitar and he started with music. He is the first rock n roll musician. He made different sort of jobs, including playing support for the Beatles. Finally he went to work for Radio Victory in 1975 and worked there for 5 years. It was the happiest times in his life. He wrote an autobiographical book, but was never published. But he did write for trade magazines and newspapers. [Box 7]
