Hobby Horse No.4: short programmes about hobbies -nd [1975-1986] presented by Roger Kennedy. Track 1- St John Ambulance. Interview with Joe O Neil from St John’s Ambulance Brigade. She explains what is this brigade and how the people can participate of this hobby. They make courses of First Aid cover for people to save lives. It is a charity organisation, and if people cannot afford them, we can supply uniforms, etc. Track 2- Horse Riding. Angela Scofield from Whickham Riding School talks about this hobby. They talk about courses and costs, etc. Roger Kennedy talks with some learners and instructors and they tell about their experience. Track 3- Ten Pin Bowling. Interview with Roger from local personality Club. He is an instructor and explains all about this sport, costs, etc. They make competitions and give some advice to contestants. Track 4- Home Videos. This item begins with the watching of a television programme from a video-recorder. Video-cassette recorders [VCRs] are a new technology. An interview with Peter and he talks also about domestic film and video cameras. He talks about this new possibilities, and explains about portable cameras and video-recording. Track 5- Royal Marine Reserve. Interview with Sergeant David Smith. He talks about this reserve and all their activities. Track 6- Photography. Interview with Bryan Healie, from Milton. He talks about this hobby - what you need, costs, etc. Today we have a 35 mm automatic cameras to take good quality photos. A local dealer will help you to find the best deal. There are also Photography Clubs and they like to help anyone that makes photos for fun and hobby. [Box 7]
