An interview with rockstar Ian Gillian. He says he intends to press Reading football club chairman Frank Waller to reconverse today’s planned meeting to discuss his bid to buy the Elm Park outfit. Over the weekend the former Deep Purple singer was told the meeting was off and he was asked to put his bid in writing. Gillan believes the publicity surrounding his proposals may have angered the directors, and he is revealed that he first approached the club more than six months ago. [Box 6]
