Track 1- Interview with schoolteacher Jenny Felton on the aftermath of war, 29-11-1982. The two schoolteachers from Reading who left the Falkland Islands shortly after the Argentine invasion in April are now back in Port Stanley. Jenny Felton and her six-year-old son John were among the first party of Britons to be allowed to leave the islands after the invasion and smuggled out a secret message from the islanders to the British government. Her husband Peter followed them back to Reading later. Now the family has returned to their old home. Peter Felton says now the mines have been cleared from around the house and the school buildings that had been occupied by Argentine troops repaired, he is getting back to the job of teaching the islands youngsters.
