Description
This week Mike Matthews visits the village of Streatley on the River Thames. It lies 6 miles North Reading in Berkshire. 3 Tracks in total with 7 interviews. Track 1- Two interviews: 1- The home of Geoffrey called Streatley House. He talks about the house and village history. 2- To the church, and talks to the vicar Rev. Thomas. He explains the church and village history. On Track 2, two other visits: 1- To the home of Doctor Roger. He has lived there for 36 years and talks about the evolution of this village and its population. 2- The home of Pauline Copeland, who knows the history of the village and the house from XVI Century. On Track 3, Matthews conducts another 3 interviews: 1- At the Cell Grain House, where the first recorded house was in 1258. The second interview is with Martin. His house has a recording studio where he works as a producer. He produces CDs for music bands and groups. And the last visit is to the best cheese shop in the village and talks with the owner. He talks about his business and about cheese. [Box 4]
