- A series of 9 tracks programmes, which starts with the Radio D-Day [Opening Day]. A special broadcast from BIC with Evening Echo in a flash-back of 50 years ago memories of the War time: 23 of May 1944 - D-Day. Track 2- Radio D-Day [Station Close Down]; Track 3- 2CR Reports; Track 4- Action Desk - Dorset Fights Back. This programme was devised, produced and presented by Mel Bray - a 6 month campaign [1922/93] using a variety of tactics [including motivational propaganda] to help Dorset out of the recession which gripped the country in the early 90 s. The clip on the CD is the final segment. The series ran two editions a day, every weekday for six months on 2CRFM and Classic Gold 828. It was supported by a regular column in the Daily Echo. Track 5- Dave Luck Breakfast Show: is self explanatory. Mrs Trundle was the tea lady [played by Mel Bray]. Track 6 and 7- Family Confidential: was devised, produced and presented by Mel Bray - a two month campaign [1993] to help families with problems that often went unmentioned. Each item was a short feature consisting of a [usually dramatised]example followed by expert advice. Track 8 and 9- News Bulletin 1988. [Box 1]
