Among those featured are Patrick Kelly, ordained to the priesthood in France, suspected of being a member of the Resistance who found himself on the Gestapos blacklist; Christabel Bielenberg, a German citizen through marriage who witnessed the effect of the Nazi regime and whose husband was suspected of being involved in the plot to assassinate Hitler; and Mary Doolan, who worked in the arsenal at Bridge End, South Wales, where the workforce turned out bombs and ammunition 24 hours a day.
