The Last wimpy

Title
The Last wimpy
Date
1985
Description
This documentary looks at the rescue of the world’s last surviving wartime Wellington Bomber from the depths of Loch Ness. The programme was recorded entirely as actuality, and we hear from all sides of the rescue mission and the museum where it is now being preserved. There is drama as the operation is delayed and finally thought to be abortive. Then success. The programme also features a recreation of the original incident with the actual pilot from 1940.
