AIDS: the facts

Title
AIDS: the facts
Date
1987
Description
A Government leaflet has been delivered through everybody’s door warning of the danger of AIDS. But the Government can’t give all the advice available in the leaflet. They’re leaving it to the media to help the public get the facts. The incurable disease is now likely to spread from the high risk groups, to ordinary families in the next year. Guy Latham reports on the disease’s background; how you will get and how you can’t get it; treatment for those that have it and the advice that prevention is better than cure. Speakers in the programme include Norman Fowler. Prof. Michael Adler (Middlesex Hospital), AIDS patients and Dr. John Gallway from Radcliffe Infirmary.
