- Folk Segovia is a set of two one-hour programmes of music recorded at the European Broadcasting Union Folk Festival held in Segovia, Spain in July 1986. The music comes from countries as diverse as Spain (5 groups), Belgium, Germany (2 groups), Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Turkey, Finland and UK. Many of the groups are represented by just one song or tune, but the more interesting and/or successful ones have a larger spot - particularly the groups from Turkey, Sweden and Finland. British representatives, Maggie Holland and Dave Parry, have 3 items in each programme. As the geographical range would suggest, there is a great diversity of styles from solo guitar instruments, and vocal groups, to the massed bands of the Turkish group. This CD is Programme 2.
