Jonathan Richards talks to Gary Daley, shy and sensitive leadsinger and songwriter of Liverpool band ‘China Crisis’. The interview looks in detail at the recording of the band’s third album, ‘Flaunt the Imperfection’. Daley talks about working with former ‘Steeley Dan’ member Walter Becker; the car accident that put him and other members of the band in hospital; the night the album was finished and how he wrote ‘Blackman Ray’ and ‘Christian’. Other tracks from the new album are played including the one that Daley describes as the best he has ever written.
