Synopsis

Recording of an illustrated lecture by Geoffrey Marsh in which he explores the period in the 1590s when William Shakespeare lived near St. Helen’s, Bishopsgate and what influence that place and his neighbours may have had on him during that time. This is partly based on new archaeological findings made on the original site.
