Synopsis
5-part series of scholarly talks on Shakespeare’s history plays. In the third episode John Harvey, Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge, argues that the usual claim for divine justice at work in the history plays is at odds with Shakespeare’s drastic secularisation of history and drama.
