Macbeth

Alternative title
Shakespeare Trilogy: Macbeth
Synopsis
Feature film. A satirical and black comedy interpretation of the play. A thug named Macbeth starts a gang war at the instigation of his girlfriend who eventually commits suicide. As the mobsters become increasingly paranoid and violent, their use of lines quoted and misquoted from Shakespeare’s plays becomes especially silly. The film parodies Shakespeare’s plays, film noir, and gangster interpretations of Shakespeare.
