I Always Marry Juliet

Synopsis
Radio drama anthology series. The story, written and directed by Wyllis Cooper, tells of an old Shakespearean actor, Rambeau Bainbridge (Chappell), who specialises in playing Romeo. He has the habit of marrying the actresses who play Juliet, and then murdering them when he realises that they do not match up to the character Shakespeare wrote. Bainbridge’s story is told to William Shakespeare who, as the writer of Juliet’s role, and her murderer too, is sympathetic. Bainbridge and Shakespeare find themselves in a version of hell where they must play the balcony scene with their victims over and over again.
