- Europeana’s report for 2014 includes the background to the Europeana 1989 family history roadshows and the opening of the Europeana 1914-1918 site.
The Report demonstrates that Europeana is able to collect cultural heritage objects, from people themselves and from institutions, on a huge scale. The report discusses how to find innovative ways to get the content out to people. The Report shows the scale of the response when quantities of content aer put onto Wikimedia, Pinterest and Retronaut and also looks at how the search widget and the API are being used in a range of innovative contexts, including the app, Europeana Open Culture.
The report also covers notable achievement in the realm of metadata, including the transformation of all records on the portal before 2013 to EDM – the Europeana Data Model, as well as including a summary of two projects: Europeana Cloud and LoCloud
