- Europeana’s business plan for 2013 takes as its starting point the idea that Europeana is an ecosystem. The central idea of the plan is to create a Cultural Commons for Europe. The plan aims to increase the size of the Europeana network, to create a community of activists, promoting the value of Europeana to the cultural sector, and to ensure that the community is structured so that everyone’s role and contributions are clear. The plan also emphasises Europeana’s nature as a ‘Core Service Platform’ and the role of members of Europeana’s community in promoting this to politicians, national communities and policymakers.
