- Description
- Lord Justice Leveson’s four volume report into press ethics. In brief its recommendations are that a new self-regulation body should be set up, which remains independent of editors, government and business. In addition Leveson found that there had been no widespread corruption of the police by the press, that the press and politicians had become too close and that press behaviour has, at times been outrageous and ‘wreaked havoc with the lives of innocent people’.
