- A discussion document on issues relating to Ofcom’s statutory duties in ensuring availability throughout the UK of a wide range of quality television and radio services, maintaining sufficient plurality of providers of these services, and seeing that optimal use is made of the radio spectrum. The document was informed by a series of separate studies on the challenges facing the delivery of content to consumers across the UK, with a particular focus on local content. This report brings together the evidence and analysis which underpins this work, assessing how well local content is being delivered and examining the prospects for delivery in the future. The relevant working papers and research are accessible via the same webpage.
