About 7 million black and white original photographs, colour transparencies, posters, set and costume designs, illustrating the history of world cinema from c.1895 to the present day, and including a comprehensive collection of television stills (approx 1 million). The stills are catalogued by original film/television title, also personality files, film studios, pre-cinema, cinema buildings, awards, equipment, ect. Special emphasis throughout on British cinema and television.
