Description
Originally a collection of oil company archives from the early 20th century, the Library has since expanded to include historic and current activities of BP’s operations worldwide in oil exploration, production and chemicals. It also includes general footage of the locality and population in areas where BP operates, and a wide selection of events BP has contributed to, such as motor racing and bike racing and land-speed record attempts. It also holds material of companies now owned by BP such as Super National, National Benzole, Arco, Amoco, Gulf and Sohio. The Library offers a record of the last century through one of Britains’ largest industrial companies.
