Description

World Images is an international archive management service and a stock footage library. Our collections include the video archives of leading non-governemental organisations NGO and several specialised collections, such as Amnesty International, Greenpeace UK, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), and WWF. Smaller collections include In Depth Solutions and Farm Animal Welfare Network (FAWN). The Archive represents one of the most comprehensive collections of environment, animal welfare and human rights footage in the world.

Limited access, available by arrangement with Archive staff.

Facilities

On-site viewing can be arranged. Preview VHS tapes and catalogue entries available on request. Some holdings can be viewed in digital format over the Internet. A VHS showreel is also available on request; catalogue entries can be supplied by email or fax. Footage can be transferred in house to virtually any video format or broadcasting standard. Themed compilations can be produced to order.

Charges

Research fees and duplication charges apply. Royalty fees are negotiated on an individual basis.

World Images acts on behalf of its archive clients and is the sole copyright clearance body.

Video/Film

Approx 10,000 hours of broadcast standard formats. Material dates from the 1970s to the present. Beta SP, Digital Betacam, DV.

Catalogues

Computerised database

Collections are shotlisted and indexed using a computerised database. Searching is by subject, titles, format, date, location, type of production and/or generation. Free-text searching enables speficic shots to be located.
