Description

The collection holds c.40,000 radio broadcasts from BBC Radio Blackburn, BBC Radio Manchester & GMR and Radio Piccadilly from the establishment of the stations in 1988. The recordings cover all aspects of the stations’ output, including news reports, local history series, music programmes, sports reports and programmes, and ‘celebrity’ interviews.
