INDEPENDENT TELEVISION COMMISSION LIBRARY (BFI LIBRARY)

Description
NB Since the closure of the ITC and its absorption within OFCOM, the ITC library hass become part of the collection of the BFI National Library (qv). The strength of the Library is in the special television industry collections, such as the archives, audience reports collection, ITV/Channel 4 programme and company publicity, as well as the more traditional stock of books, journals, official publications, annual reports and press cuttings. The ITC archive collections are important and increasingly well used. The ITC operates the 30-year rule for public records. Some records may be made available earlier, depending on the nature of the records and purpose of research. Note: This Library is now under review (February 2001).
