The collection includes films of the following: Re-opening of Gaumont Cinema, Shepherds Bush, after closure due to bomb damage; ‘Tories Resounding Victory’ c.1955; Hammersmith, 1953 (Coronation procession and carnival, etc.); Opening of Fulham Power Station by local Mayor, 1936; ‘Merchant Navy’ appeal by Mayor of Hammersmith, c.1940s (2 copies); Civic procession and memorial service for George V, 1936 (Hammersmith); and food advertisements.
