Description

The Archives collects, preserves and makes available to the public all sorts of records about the history of Ceredigion, which is the county formerly known as Cardiganshire. Ceredigion Archives was originally established in 1974 as the third office of the Dyfed Archives Service. It was then known as the Cardiganshire Area Record Office. In 1996 at local government re-organisation the record office was re-launched as Ceredigion Archives. It remains one of the smaller county record offices. Official and private documents relating to the history of the county are held here.
