A special issue of Cahiers victoriens et édouardiens focuses on  New Perspectives on Film Adaptations of 19th–Century Novels and Short Stories . The issue looks at film adaptations of Victorian and Edwardian writers, including Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, George du Maurier, E.M. Forster and Saki, as well as venturing into screen adaptations of less reputable literary sources in Alison Lee and Frederick D. King’s ‘From Text, to Myth, to Meme: Penny Dreadful and Adaptation’.

The journal Shakespeare 13, no. 1 (2017) features an article by Gemma Miller on children in Shakespeare: ‘ “He Has No Children”: Changing Representations of the Child in Stage and Film Productions of Macbeth from Polanski to Kurzel’ .
