- HEDS is funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee and run by the University of Hertfordshire. It provides advice, consultancy and a complete production service for digitisation and digital library development, serving not only the education sector, but also public libraries, museums, archives and other non-profit making organisations. The site includes details of the various digitisation projects and institutions with which HEDS has worked, and information on implementing a digitisation project. This site is no longer active, but the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine offers a capture of the website as it appeared on 02/10/2006. This does not include access to the moving images.
