ERA Plus – The Benefits Explained

The ERA Plus – The Benefits Explained event was held at BAFTA, London on Thursday 9 September 2010.


The event took an in-depth, pragmatic look at the ERA Plus Licence and how to use it within education establishments, including:

  • the benefits and requirements of the licence
  • security, authentication and geographical identification issues
  • technical solutions
  • practical case studies from current users

Attendees gained the opportunity to discuss their questions with representatives from The Educational Recording Agency (ERA) and the providers of television catch-up services from the broadcasting industry, as well gaining useful tips from other licensee holders.

There were a number of short presentations from speakers including, Andrew Yeates, General Counsel at ERA; Richard Cooper, Head of Digital Distribution at the BBC; Luis Carrasqueiro, Deputy Chief Executive at the British Universities Film & Video Council, amongst others.
