Independent Cinema Office
The website of the national organisation for the development and support of independent film exhibition in the UK. The site features a catalogue of films currently available for booking by film exhibitors in the UK and Ireland, details of their training and consultancy services, information about careers and job information, and much more besides. The Advice and Information page features an exhaustive selection of information about cinemas, distributor contact details, publications, case studies, as well as information about fundraising, programming, marketing and non-theatrical exhibition.

Inside Aleppo
This site is curated by Channel 4 News and features footage shot by Syrian filmmaker Wa’ad al Kateab during the relentless aerial bombardment of Eastern Aleppo. Aid workers and foreign journalists are unable to gain access to this part of the besieged city and it is left to local people, often citizen journalists, to bear witness to what is happening. The site features a timeline, beginning in July 2012, and offers a chronology of the conflict so far, interspersed with film showing the daily lives of Aleppo’s citizens. The stories documenting the suffering of the city’s children are particularly harrowing.

LIMA
LIMA is a Dutch arts body that promotes sustainable access to media art, aiming to ensure the preservation of video, digital and performance artwork. Their collection dates back to the early 1960s and includes work by many prominent artists including Nam June Paik, Nicolas Provost, Marina Abramovic, Nan Hoover and Jan Fabre. A number of useful videos provide a series of ‘tours’ around the collection, looking at different thematic areas, such as Cinema, Performance and Activism. The LIMA catalogue features over two thousand works by five hundred national and international artists: each entry is catalogued by keyword, date, type, genre and artist. Mawah: When Ebola Came to Our Village
A beautifully designed interactive website which tells the story of a small village in Central Liberia, using graphics, animations, video and sound to show the effects of the Ebola outbreak on the village and its inhabitants. The site is the creation of Carl Gierstorfer, a journalist and filmmaker with a background in biology.

Physics Fundamentals
Collection of videos, news items and articles collected, written and curated by nuclear physicist Chantal Nobs, who is a PhD student at the University of Brighton. The site is intended for younger children (primary and possibly early secondary level) and is characterised by a colourful design, well-chosen content and clear explanations.http://insidealeppo.com/
