Alzheimer’s Association
The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organisation in the United States in Alzheimer care, support and research. The Videos and Media pages of the site stream several videotapes outlining latest research in areas such as advances in brain imaging, mild cognitive impairment research, Alzheimer’s and genetics and the role of insulin. In addition to the research videos the Media and Clips pages host short, informative clips on a variety of topics of interest to the dementia caregiver, persons with early stage dementia, family members, and professionals.

eLife
eLife publishes outstanding research in the life sciences and biomedicine, from the most fundamental and theoretical work, through to translational, applied, and clinical research. It aims to esearch to improve the way important results are presented and shared and the open-access eLife journal is the first step in the initiative to make science publishing more effective. The epodcasts produced by The Naked Scientists include magnetic nerve cells, the social behaviour of ants, optogenetics and gene therapy. Transcripts can be downloaded.

London School Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Videos and Podcasts
The videos (from 2102) include Inaugural Lectures, the Global Health Lecture series, and free online courses including tuition on global blindness and ebola. The podcasts (from 2007) offer a platform for scientists to discuss their latest research: topics include sustaining development goals and maternal health, the rise of HIV in homophobic countries and predicting pandemics.

Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford
The site hosts video podcasts from researchers at the Nuffield Department of Medicine who have been supported by the Medical Research Council. The information accompanying each video is comprehensive with transcripts provided in Q&A format. Medical research undertaken includes targeting epigenetics mechanism to treat cancer, the links between obesity and diabetes, infectious diseases in China and chromatin remodelling.
